A<\/span>ttila’s Revenge is a project that I’ve worked on for over 30 years.I know that sounds baffling, but it is, in deed, the case. The germ of an idea for the book began when I was reading about Attila and how he died. My research revealed that he did actually die from a massive blood loss from his nose and maybe his mouth.<\/p>\n

That this happened on his wedding night is also factual. The woman he married was his thirty or thirty-first wife. They found her cowering in a corner, afraid and shaking.<\/p>\n

At least, this is the accepted version of his death. He left behind no succession plan and his three sons got to squabbling and a few years later, the Hun empire fell apart.<\/p>\n

In their years of terror, they produced nothing, left nothing behind but some jewelry and happiness that they were gone. Called the scourge of God by churchmen, they said he was sent to punish humanity for its sins.<\/p>\n

So, somewhere along the way, the idea took root, and I began researching Attila and old Rome. And I was hooked. The more i read, the more I wanted to read. And now the work is finished and I’m, finally, on to other things.
