Laying off his personnel is not a good option as these people are highly skilled and will be difficult to replace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: .3in;\">You say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: .3in;\"><strong>One: <\/strong>\u201cThings are tough all over. Good luck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: .3in;\"><strong>Two: <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m not in manufacturing, but highly skilled or not, I\u2019d lay them off and deal with rehiring later. Better than losing the company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: .3in;\"><strong>Three: <\/strong>\u201cHave you considered temporary employment for your people? As you\u2019ve said, they\u2019re highly skilled. You\u2019ll make money on their labor. You can keep them from being hired away from you with a clause in the employment contract that your people can\u2019t be hired for two years.
