Writers, here’s how you can deal with problem text whether it’s a paragraph or a page.

  • Copy the problem text to the clipboard
  • Open another document or go to the end of the current one
  • Paste the text there so that is alone with nothing around or near it
  • Edit the text and paste it back into your document

Now, you have solid text and you can continiue.

I’ve used this technique for years; it’s never failed me. To separate problem text, even by a few blank lines does wonders for your concentration and yields superior results.
