Here’s an excellent editing technique from a friend and excellent writer, Felix Giordano. When your book, paper, novel, novella, short story is ready to be edited, save it to a Portable Document Format (PDF) and have the PDF read itself to you as you follow along in the document itself.
I did this for the first with my historical novel and almost immediately began picking up small errors. It works. It works very well.
